Advocating for New Jersey Banks at the Washington Summit
Earlier this month, NJBankers President & CEO Mike Affuso and VP/Director of Government Affairs Brittany Wheeler headed to D.C. for the ABA's Washington Summit. Along with a contingent of New Jersey bankers, they met with staff from the offices of Senator Booker, and Representatives Menendez, Kean, Pallone, Norcross and Conaway.
They discussed issues affecting the banking industry including FDIC modernization, combating fraud, stablecoin, and the need for more affordable housing. Attending events such as this are critical to NJBankers mission as "The Voice of the Garden State Banking Industry," supporting our advocacy efforts and promoting the great work banks do across our state.
Thank you to our members from Citizens, ConnectOne Bank, Columbia Bank, Northfield Bank, TD, and JPMorganChase who joined us for the Summit.
