NJBankers Committees Discuss Mail and Identity Theft, Cyber Security
Last week, US Postal Inspectors presented to the NJBankers Security Committee on mail theft and identity theft in New Jersey. The inspectors addressed recent cases, shared investigative strategies, and emphasized collaboration with local authorities, pointing out measures bankers and their front-line personnel can take to enhance security and combat the rising threat of mail and identity theft.
Earlier this month, the Cyber-Risk Committee also met at the Red Bank offices of OceanFirst Bank. Attendees participated in a session led by Alex Martirosyan of Wolf & Co. that introduced the latest cyber security buzzwords such as Atomic Testing, Micro Emulation Plans and Purple Teaming. The committee also had a roundtable discussion focused on the use of AI and Open Chat programs for use in financial institutions, including discussions on parameters, regulatory challenges and best practices.
