On Thursday, November 2nd, NJBankers and the banking community came together to celebrate the newest class of Rising Stars. Honorees were nominated by their bank and chosen by an independent panel of judges based on their leadership qualities, contributions to the banking industry, and their commitment to better serving their community. Congratulations to Sheryl Shara of Blue Foundry Bank, this year's recipient of the Constantine G. Callas Progressive Educational & Work Ethic Memorial Scholarship.
The award was presented by George Callas, Chief Revenue Officer and National Sales Director, of the Invictus Group, during our Rising Star Awards Dinner last night. The scholarship is in memory of his father who was known for his entrepreneurial spirit and belief in making a better life through education.

NJBankers, PA Bankers Service Corporation and DE Bankers recently hosted a peer group meeting for the For Profit division of almost 40 state banking associations. The group met this year at the nexus of the world in New York City. The event featured two and a half days of networking events, roundtable discussions on partnerships across the country, vetting out new products and services to bring to our respective memberships and presentations from 22 service providers. NJBankers and our Board of Directors recognize the importance of these partnerships not only with our service provider but with other Associations across the country!
